The First Walk

Image
Hello Everyone! After a long time I am writing a post. So, in my last blog I told you that in my next blog I will talk about my dog . My dog's name is, Drumroll please! It is Gypsy. Today I am going to talk about my dog's first walk. The Vet advised to take him for a walk after he is at least 3 months old, actually now he is going to be 4 years old on 16th February. But let's not talk about the present right now 🙂. So, when he turned 3 months old we took him for a walk. Gypsy has a lot of attitude and thinks he is the strongest but as he is a Lhasa Apso he is a small dog. Me, my Mom and my sister went for his first walk. Gypsy wore a green leash but as soon as he got on the road 4 to 5 dogs came and started barking but they were not doing anything to him. But Gypsy's leash opened and he ran towards the dogs. We were so scared that what if the dogs bite him? I started crying and my sister got worried, my mom ran as fast as she could and caught hold of Gypsy. But when sh...

The Two Brothers

Image
Hello Everyone! Today I am going to tell you a very sad story about two brothers who were inseparable. This all is my own exprience and is totally true. There were two brothers in my neighbourhood. They both were twin dogs (Golden Retrievers), they were playful, cute and cheerful.  Their names were ""Kiki" and ""Kiku". Kiki is  very innocent and calm and also had a birthmark on his tongue (I have changed the names). Kiku was very naughty but he was also innocent. Their owners thought that they would have a better life in the village so their owners sent them there . They were having a very happy life running in the  fields sitting and sleeping in the laps of the villagers. But there is no guarantee of happiness for ever. They both got infected by ticks and then were stricken by Tick Fever. You must be thinking that why have I used "is" for Kiki and ''was" for Kiku Sadly, Kiku is no more. The tick fever took him away. Kiki was saved a...

Pitbulls

Image
Hello Everyone ! Sorry for posting late but here is my blog and I am sure you will enjoy reading it. Today we are going to talk about the breed 'Pitbull'. They are great with children and they cannnot be kept as a guard dogs as they are too much  friendly .If you want a companion for a child you can always keep pitbulls as your pet.  Pit bulls are very cute and lovely but in England, it is not allowed to keep pitbulls as they think  they are very dangerous dogs. Every dog is dangerous some how but they think that pitbulls are too dangerous to be kept as pets. When people see or think about pitbulls they first think about pitbulls biting humans but this is not true they are calm, are very funny and cute. In England, there is also a rule that if you have a pitbull and you want to take your pitbull for a walk you have to make your it wear a muzzle. That is so unfair no dog deserves this at all. There are so many pitbulls that are kept in a cage in England in a very bad condi...

Things to Keep in mind when you are walking your dog

Image
Hello Everyone ! Here comes another joyful weekend and here is my blog . Today I am going to tell you about :- Things to Keep in mind when you are walking your dog  1) Keep your dogs leash tight .  You always have to keep your dogs leash tight because if it is loose it will open and your dog will run away 2) Use the full body leashes. You should always use full body leashes instead of collar ones , so they don't choke 3) Don't let your dog eat or even lick poisnous plants. When you are walking your dog and if you see a plant that you are not familiar with don't let your dog even go near it . 4)  Take a stick with you when you are walking them  Take a stick with you when you are walking them as if a stray dog comes to attack your dog you can protect your dog. ( I know it will be rude but you have to protect your dog . If all the stray dogs are your dog's friend then no need to take a stick ) 5) Don't take your dog close to weeds  All the the ticks are always in t...

How to calm our dogs

Image
Your dogs must get angry sometimes, so I am here with another post telling about how to calm your dogs when they are angry. Some ways are :- 1) Massage them with coconut oil You can massage them with coconut oil when they have taken a nice fresh bath       2) Pet Them      Just sit with them and pet them , this   makes them feel loved. 3) Let them take a nap Let your dog sleep for 1 to 2 hours. Many times dogs get irritated when they are sleepy. 4) Let them eat their favourite food Give them a treat or anything that they like very much. That will calm them and  make them happy. All these things indicate that let your dog do whatever the want to do at that time that will calm them and make them happy. So this was my post today. Please comment and share. Thank you, Regards, Ashita Makhija

Tick fever happens when a dog or any pet gets a lot of ticks. These ticks suck the blood of animals and then their body reacts in a way that they get fever. This fever grows day by day and sometimes, results in death.  If  your dog has a lot of fur, has ticks and keeps on scratching due to itching, then please get its hair shaved. This way, you can see and take out the ticks from their body. Don't keep your dog just for its fur. The dogs that don't have that much fur also can get ticks . So please check if your dog has exessive ticks and if shaving the hair doesn't remove the ticks consult your vet.
